The Notch Roper Runner Pro, an enhanced version of the original Rope Runner, was introduced first in 2020. A collaboration bringing together two of the most respected names in climbing and rigging, Notch and Kevin Bringham, to bring you one of the most advanced rope positioning devices ever devised. The Roper Runner Pro’s curved body is easier on the user and the rope, and is in a single piece instead of the three of its predecessor, allowing it to be fully attached to the mid-line as it stays in one piece. Improvements have also been made to the pulley, now featuring a sealed ball bearing. In common with previous devices, all parts exposed to friction are replaceable to keep it in use for many ascents to come. Retention is handled by SLIC pins, an acronym for Self Locking Implanted Cotter Pins, an all-in-one spring-loaded locking pin, to save on complexity and provide an easy-to-source and replace part. Engineered with the professional in mind, this device features category-leading ergonomics, eminently reliable durability, and is adaptable enough to handle the situation calling for it every time.
