Petzl’s CHICANE accessory provides more functionality to open up greater possibilities and facilitate the freedom of motion that climbing in trees and working at high altitudes often calls for, providing a simple and safe method of descent and movement while rope-walking. It’s an accessory purpose-built to be used in tandem with some of Petzl’s other products, most notably the ZIGZAG and ZIGZAG PLUS mechanical Prusiks that Petzl is well known for, and the CHICANE brings them further into the modern era, allowing for the convenience and flexibility of using only a single rope, meaning the slack pulled corresponds directly to the height gained, unlike traditional two-rope setups that require double the pull for the same affect. Other compatible Petzl products include the Am’D or OK connectors. Compatible with the ANSI Z133 standard and guaranteed for 3 years.
